We identified some time ago that to really differentiate our business from other cleaning product companies, we had to offer our customers more than just great products, service and value for money. This is why we have a wide range of products, from toilet tissue, cleaning chemicals and bin bags to mops and dispensers of all types. We work hard with our customers in a variety of market sectors - care homes, hotels, pubs, leisure, hospitality, public sector and schools, to name just a few.

Jo Thompson

Managing Director

Jo founded Spectrum, and has worked in the industry for 15 years. Before that Jo worked for Thomas Cook in regional and personnel management. She loves working with the customers and understanding their needs and then ensuring that the Spectrum team delivers the high standards of service that Jo expects. She is married to Pete, and has two daughters, Emily and Lucy.

Karen Betteridge

Business Support Manager Sales/Service and Operations

Karen joined the company in July 2004. Her role is customer service manager and she supports the sales and admin team to ensure that seamless delivery is achieved. She is very committed to the company and values working in a positive environment, with a lovely team of people. Outside of work, family is very important to her and she loves taking part in charity events, recently walking hot coals in aid of The Diane Fossey Gorilla Fund.

Samantha Binley

Sales and Customer Service Administrator

Sam has recently joined the team to help Amanda with Sales and Business Development activities. She is currently working towards an NVQ in Business Administration. She likes to be challenged and finds problem solving motivating. Sam is always happy to help our customers! In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her puppy 'Diesel' and also her family.

Laura Darby

Senior Sales and Customer Service Administrator

Laura joined the team at Spectrum after leaving school. She has been working here for nearly three years now and says her job has really helped her become more confident and outgoing. Along with Archie ( our Labrador ) she is the face of the customers, welcoming them through the door, and she enjoys talking to the customers and building those relationships over the phone. Laura is well suited to the job as she is an organised and methodical person. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Mark Mullin

Business Support Manager Distribution and Purchasing

Mark has been with Spectrum since 2009, before which he worked at Wolseley UK as a branch manager. His role involves ensuring that the warehouse is well stocked with the right products for all the customers, as well as planning the distribution. He enjoys the challenges that he faces at Spectrum. Home life is one mad rush, having 4 children, there is little time for anything else other than the odd bottle of rose wine!

Archie

Archie has been a part of Spectrum since May 2009 and enjoys his job of staff companion and likes to meet and greet all the customers and suppliers who visit the trade counter.
